An Interview with Dr. Reggie Screen

July 8, 2020

‘Justice to the fatherless and the oppressed’ was the cry of the psalmist in the Old Testament (Ps10:18). Down through the centuries the people of God have often asked God for his justice because they realized that true justice is a gift that only he can give. We need this gift again today.  As the cries for racial justice ring out around the world many of us hear and recognize the rightness of the call but are unsure what we should do or how we can be involved.

Today we are talking with Dr Reggie Screen. Dr Screen is an expert in the field of racial justice and reconciliation and we are honored that he has chosen to use the Missional Institute to launch his online learning experience titled: Overcoming Unconscious Bias the Biblical Way!

Reggie’s focus is equipping Christians & Christian Leaders to tackle Racial Reconciliation through Unconscious Bias Training, Cultural Intelligence Training, and One-On-One Coaching.

Reggie has over 30 years of business, military, and non-profit leadership development experience. He has also served as a multi-cultural pastor and denominational leader. He holds degrees in Accounting, and Biblical Studies, a Masters and Doctorate in Christian Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Apologetics and Theology.

During his experience you will have the opportunity to learn from him in a safe group setting. He will teach you how to reorientate your hearts and lives back towards the Gospel of the Kingdom. If you are interested in participating in Overcoming Unconscious Bias the Biblical Way! Or White Fragility: The Book Club. Please fill out this form to register your interest.

And of course don't forget to Listen now to Episode 5 with Dr. Reggie Screen.

You Make Me Brave

Bravery, or courage, is something we all need. I know we have all had to dig deep into our character and faith to find it at different times in our lives, so the words in the song speak to us at a very personal level.

Are we functional agnostics?

One of the reasons we don’t see spiritual breakthrough is that we live as functional agnostics in relation to the supernatural life. Peter James and John had amazing experiences on the mountaintop but now they had to return to the valley with Jesus….

Everything was quite different, abundance rather than scarcity defined everything. I remember being amazed to discover that there were 500 television channels. In England we had recently got our fourth channel and most people seemed to think that was too many. Sally was so intimidated that she only watched The Weather Channel for weeks!

Finding Courage In A World Governed By Fear - Part 1

How can I be courageous in a world filled with fear? This is a fascinating question and one that we need to attend to at the moment. All around we see all kinds of indications of……a world running out of ideas…a world running into chaos…a world overseen by leaders who have little or no idea about how to find solutions to the mounting problems that spiral around us.

Drinking Daily from the Well of God's Presence

As I considered this data it confirmed to me to the sense I’ve had for some time - that a malady that has struck deep into the heart of American, and beyond that Western, Christianity. One of the symptoms of this malady is a decline in teaching encouraging Christians to have a daily devotion—a Quiet Time, as we used to call it.

The Millennial's Secret
